ATLANTA - Oct. 13, 2010 - Cozen O'Connor announces that Nanette L. Wesley has joined the firm's Atlanta office as a member of the Global Insurance Group. She was previously a partner with Fields, Howell.

Wesley focuses her practice on property insurance coverage and defense of first-party litigation for the London market of insurers. She is skilled in handling all manners of declaratory actions, with both manuscript and ISO policies, and has substantial experience with ISO forms and endorsements. She has handled complicated examinations under oath in suspicious property loss cases, and has drafted extensive, complicated coverage opinions involving all areas of property damage. Wesley has also litigated catastrophic damage claims, including more than 200 hurricanes Katrina and Rita claims in Louisiana and Mississippi state and federal courts.

Wesley also dedicates a portion of her practice to defending third-party liability claims, and she is building a thoroughbred racing and breeding industry practice. Her experience with the London market, as well as her lifelong equestrian training, helps her handle the various coverage and litigation disputes, including property, contractual, drugging, and agency issues.

A graduate of Georgia State University, College of Law cum laude, Wesley was in the top seventh percent of her class, was a member of moot court and on the National Trademark Moot Court Team that placed second in a national tournament. While in law school, she clerked for the late Justice Weltner of the Supreme Court of Georgia. She received her bachelor's degree in English, with honors, from the University of Texas - Austin.
