Sal Lucido (03) was promoted to the position of Associate Director for Policy at CDC's National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities. Sal will serve as the primary public policy advisor for the $138 million National Center and will manage a variety of activities including: budget development, partner relations, Congressional relations; policy research & analysis; issues management; and performance & oversight reporting. These efforts serve to support the National Center’s ongoing mission to work with public health partners and experts in the fields of birth defects, disabilities, and blood disorders to develop prevention strategies addressing these conditions and improve the health of millions.
